Pumpkin Carving

Charlie and Tripp bought a pumpkin carving kit at Michaels and decided that it would be a great Father/Son bonding activity. Charlie went to Wal-Mart and got a great pumpkin, got all of the materials together, made a space for their activity, and started carving. Tripp stayed for about 5 minutes, and then got bored and came in. He told his daddy to call him when it was finished. I just thought that this was too funny because the whole point was for them to spend time together. I was not outside the whole time, but I have a feeling that Charlie and his OCD self wanted to make sure that the pumpkin was perfect, and decided to do most of it himself. The pumpkin turned out really cute, but spoiled in just a few days on the front porch. Next year, we will have to wait a little longer before we carve the pumpkin.
